Colored Pencil by Deborah Milton |
Saturday March 3rd 10:00am-2:00pm $85 includes supplies Maximum Students 8 Mandala is a ‘circle.’ The term was taken by C. G. Jung from the Sanskrit and subsequently became the definition in both religion and psychology. The circle, which protects the vital center, is above all a symbol of wholeness. People in all cultures feel drawn to this wholeness. Mandalas provide a sense of inner peace, reconciliation, and order amidst chaos. And anyone can make one! Based on the work of Judith Cornell, the “luminous” process uses black paper and white pencil so we discover the power of value by exploring light on dark rather than the other way around. After practicing the technique, we’ll apply colored pencil on top of the white drawing. You’ll be delighted with the results.
